Sooooooooo.......... Why the HELL is Russell Simmons feathured with one of the most cut-throat, greedy, selfish, CEO's in America's history? I mean Russell Simmons is the TOTAL and COMPLETE opposite of everything that Ken Chenault stands for and represents. Rush doesn't need to support American Express or Ken Chenault. Tiger Woods only supports American Express because they pay him a SHIT load of money to "sponsor" them. Maybe Simmons doesn't like Chenault. I mean, maybe Russell Simmons opinion is that Chenault is a Chump.

AFTER ALL Russell Simmons is an ALL American Hero. He is the kind of guy that who even if he hated Chenault and what he stood for, Russ wouldn't waste his breath or time. See Simmons, like Sir Branson, has been constantly coming up with NEW ideas to put more people to work. He's doesn't portray arrogance like Chenault does.

RUSSELL SIMMONS - A BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT THE AMERICAN GENIUS

Russell "Rush" Simmons has business roots deep into his teenage years, like any good entrepreneur. The information below was mostly obtained from the Fast Company article about Russell Simmons called Rush Hour.

In Rush's office, he has a platinum Rolodex and the door is wide open. The door is often blocked by a line of people needing him for various things, usually without advance notice. The phone is either ringing or Simmons is on it, or texting countless messages like a high school kid. Simmons makes his executive statement with baggy Phat Farm jeans, sneakers, and a snazzy shirt His management style: ADD.

Though Simmons, like Jay-Z and Sir Branson, is arguably one of the most innovative, successful, and respected entrepreneur of this lifetime. His disorderly and chaotic management style is part of the new generation of entrepreneurship. Focusing a little bit of time on hundreds of different tasks, rather than concentrating large blocks of time on a few tasks.

Yet spend a few hours with Simmons, and it becomes obvious that he is not just about the benjamins. His favorite line, according Craig Marshall, Rush's COO, is "What else?" and it seems to mean using his power to achieve social and political goals. "I want to contribute more to earth than I take away from it," Simmons says.

Simmons's success comes more from what he is not. Like Jay-Z, who recently visited his old 'hood in the projects with Oprah, Simmons is not a man who made it big and then abandoned his roots. He is still as comfortable on the streets of the inner city as he has become on Wall Street. He vacations on St. Bart's with the gatekeepers of the establishment, virtually all of whom call him a friend. He is radical and approachable at the same time. He is, "authentic". I think that is the perfect word to describe him. Another word would be "genuine". You never hear any negative press about Russell. He is always making headlines with positive actions.

See there are two business styles in this world. Do for yourself or do for others. Simmons and Branson are "Do for OTHERS." kinds of guys. Ken Chenault is a "do for himself", kind of guy. Simmons built his empire with his "street smarts" just like Jay-Z. Chenault got his empire handed to him, more than likely from a lot of ass kissing and sucking up. Jay-Z and Russ are worlds apart from Chenault who attended an Ivy League school and got his knowledge from a book. Russell and Jay didn't need college. Russell and Jay get their degree from Hard Knock University (HKU). The Hard Knock School is for those that went from the hen house to the pent house from being a true entrepreneur. College is for people who do not know how to think, if you know how to think, you don't need college.

Simmons is constantly using his entrepreneur influence, finances, and powers for the greater good of this country. Chenault is constantly using his power and influence to rape hardworking American families financially. He doesn't seem to have any heart or conscience what so ever. The fact that a man like Chenault is capable of laying off around 36,000 employees, while said to have made more than $150,000,000 in 3-4 years is ridiculous. When a CEO makes his millions off of the debts of American families and the jobs he cut, it says something about the quality of the person and lack of integrity they have.

After the Goldman-Sachs debacle, American Express saw an opportunity to expand into charging America 30% interest on the TRILLIONS that we owe other nations. Ken Chenault saw dollar signs again and an opportunity and realized it was better for America to OWE American Express than to owe China. Gold is also a color as well as an extremely expensive and valuable precious metal. Gold prices are at an all time high and the Discovery Channel's Gold Rush show has made the business lucrative.
